Installing Plex

If you’ve been invited to join someone’s Plex Media Server, getting started is simple.

If you’ve been invited to join someone’s Plex Media Server, getting started is simple. First, create a free Plex account at [plex.tv](https://www.plex.tv/) if you don’t already have one. Once the server owner sends you an invite, you’ll receive an email—click the link to accept it. Then, install the Plex app on your preferred device (smart TV, phone, tablet, computer, or streaming device like Roku/Firestick) and log in with your Plex account. Navigate to the “More” tab and select the shared server to access its media. You can browse movies, TV shows, music, and more, just like your own streaming service. If you run into playback issues, ensure your internet speed is stable or adjust the streaming quality in the app settings. Enjoy!

Requesting Media

To request media on Overseerr, follow these steps:

Open up Overseer (http://berry.whatbox.ca:15701/login) in your web browser. Overseer is already linked to the media server, so log in using your Plex account option.

Once logged in, use the search bar to find movies or TV shows you want to request. Click on the title, then press the “Request” button. If necessary, choose specific seasons for TV shows. After submitting the request, you can check its status under the “Requests” tab.

Listening to Audiobooks

To download the Prologue app for listening to audiobooks on your iPhone, open the App Store and search for “Prologue Audiobook Player”. Tap Get to install the app.

Once installed, open Prologue, and log in using your Plex Account. Enter your Plex credentials, then select the audiobook library from the available options. Once connected, you can browse the audiobooks, stream them directly, or download them for offline listening.
